Notes about MyIDE-ONLY.ROM: 3-feb-2018 If you find issues or odd behavior, email me. Please zip and attach the software you are running. To: mr-atari @ mr-atari . com (remove the spaces) What is it: Just the MyIDE-drivers, no BIOS, so maximum free memory..... The MyIDE-partition drivers support access to Dx: on CF-media. These drivers are patched into your running Atari-OS (See ATARI-OS support). Almost zero byte footprint in the atari-memory. Used locations: $2/$3 $9 $208/$209 $20C/$20D only :-) How does it works: This is a IRQ-triggered trick to catch SIO and do CF/IDE-IO. This ROM installs two vector-patches to catch SIO and KEYBOARD. Then this ROM is switched off and the system restarted. It is reset-protected, but you should not abuse reset. So only press reset when you really need to press it (not during IO or other tasks) But any program (or interaction) that changes the SIO/KEYBOARD-vectors will break the IDE/CF-access, ofcourse. TurboBasicXL(1.5): ATR is included, best is NOT to install it as your boot-partition. Better use D2: and use the DOS Load-command to load TBASIC.COM Tested and works great :-) You need a 64k machine to run TurboBasicXL. Supported: SHIFT+CONTROL hotkeys: RIPM, numbers, ESC (reset), TAB (restart), CAPS (reboot) MyIDE-images and -partitions ATARI-OS support: It supports Atari-OS versions 400/800 10,11,1,2,3 and 4 Found in most atari computers, all others are blocked. You get a colorfull rainbow screen when no correct ID is found. Atari XL/XE, check location $C005 and $C00B, they read 0 and 10,11,1,2,3 or 4. Atari 400/800, check locations $FFFE and $FFFF, they read $F3,$E6 MEMORY support: The MyIDE-ONLY needs minimum 8k RAM to run properly. But please note, many programs you load afterwards, can require more. Loading: Select item 2 from your Atarimax Menu. Or Use your atarmax-fatloader to load the "myide-only.rom" file. When using the file version, items 3,4,5 will not work properly (!) You get a small bootmenu (version #, bottom-left): 1 MyIDE-MENU to setup a CF-card 2 IMAGE-MENU to choose/set an image from image-space 3 loads flash item 13, Atari Basic C 4 loads flash item 14, Assembler editor 5 loads flash item 15, Altirra Basic Any other key to boot without cartridge On XL/XE (with internal BASIC): OPTION in reversed, so holding OPTION enables the internal BASIC. Tranfering ATR-files: To tranfer ATR from CF and to CF, please use the MyIDE Drive Manager. MyIDE-][ layout: 128k emulated cartridges and atarimax fat32-loading 64k reserved 304k Device "D8:" SRAMDISK 16k MyIDE-ONLY-code ---- 512k SRAM
